Ratings & User-Generated Content Policy

Overview

Elefy allows tenants to leave ratings and reviews following a completed tenancy, and allows users to post content in the marketplace and community features. This policy explains how ratings and user-generated content (UGC) work.

Deposit-Return Ratings

• Ratings are submitted by verified tenants following a completed tenancy on the Elefy platform (booking status: Completed).
• Ratings reflect the individual tenant's experience and opinion — they are not verified facts and do not constitute an Elefy endorsement or guarantee.
• Tenants may edit or retract their rating within 14 days of submission.
• Ratings that cannot be linked to a verified completed tenancy may be removed.
• Landlord deposit-return rating scores are calculated as an average of verified ratings for each landlord.

Community & Marketplace UGC

• Users may post listings, reviews, guides, comments, and other content ('UGC') in community and marketplace areas.
• By posting UGC, you grant Elefy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content on the platform.
• You remain responsible for UGC you post. UGC must not be false, defamatory, discriminatory, infringing, obscene, or illegal.
• Elefy hosts but does not endorse UGC and is not liable for UGC posted by users.

Content Moderation

Elefy reserves the right to review, edit, hide, or remove any UGC that violates this policy or Elefy's Terms of Service, at any time without notice. Repeated policy violations may result in account suspension.

Disputes & Takedown Requests

If you believe a rating or piece of UGC is false, defamatory, or violates this policy, contact [email protected] with: (a) the specific content URL or reference, (b) why you believe it violates this policy, and (c) your contact details. Elefy will review takedown requests within 14 business days and notify both parties of the outcome. The party disputing the content may provide evidence; the decision of Elefy is final for platform moderation purposes.

Limitation of Liability

Elefy acts as a passive host of UGC. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elefy is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on UGC posted by other users. Elefy does not verify the accuracy of ratings or reviews beyond the tenancy-completion check.
